"AOLA Tenage" is a sheet material processed with Tenage using veneer made from locally sourced cedar that has been coated with natural indigo paint. Tokushima's "Awa Indigo," highly regarded worldwide as "Japan Blue," is produced using traditional methods. Through unique development, this indigo is transformed into a paste-like semi-solid, allowing it to be applied and sprayed in a manner similar to pigments rather than dyes. The veneer, sliced from natural wood, is filled with resin, and reinforced with materials such as washi paper, non-woven fabric, natural leather, and canvas, resulting in a sheet that maintains the warm texture of natural wood while providing sufficient strength and flexibility.
